Description

BSM Group are representing a client seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to develop the firm's retail technology platform
  • Analyse business flows and processes, adding tools and services to increase automation and efficiency
  • Ensure data security best practices, work with Compliance and Information Security reviewers
  • Build scalable web services that integrate with existing data sources and systems
  • Collaborate across teams: engage Operations, Pricing/Actuarial & Quant teams to understand requirements and review features
  • Provide BAU support for both existing systems and new services

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' application development experience, ideally within the insurance, retail or investment banking industries Mathematical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills; ability to understand and drill-down into data
  • Ability to work with multiple programming languages and technologies (including the proprietary "securities language" Slang)
  • Python programming experience
  • Familiarity with SDLC and development best practices
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Server-side web development experience (OAuth, REST, web frameworks such as Flask)
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
  • Experience with web UI development (particularly React or Ember)
