This is a diversified role with high level exposure to senior management across multiple business lines within the bank, you will join a highly skilled group with a flat and globally aligned hierarchy. This team has access to state-of-the-art risk management models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing reports for accuracy before it reaches Market Risk Management and Front Office
  • Delivering analysis and explaining Value At Risk (VaR), Stressed Value At Risk (SVaR), Incremental Risk Charge (IRC), Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Economic Capital (EC)
  • Stress testing analysis, explaining and specifications
  • Ad hoc (“What-if”) analysis. e.g. VaR/EC/RWA impact of new trades
  • Providing analytical support to Risk Managers to facilitate risk management / business decisions
  • Contributing to methodological enhancements, including quantitative impact analysis
  • Developing reports to facilitate robust risk management practices

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications / work experience
  • Proven experience working in a Market Risk position at an Investment Bank
  • Broad financial market and product knowledge, preferably with expertise in Credit or Securitized products
  • Experience working in a complex environment, developing detailed understanding of front to back processes while looking for ways to reduce inefficiencies
  • Details-focused and numerically literate
  • Strong communication skills – ability to articulate technical and financial topics with stakeholders
  • A team player with a motivation to work in a dynamic, international and diverse environment
  • A committed and motivated individual for self-development and growth
  • Keen interest in various risk frameworks and how they are interconnected for bank’s capital
  • Experience in using large datasets with experience in relevant software packages, e.g. Microsoft (MS) Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experience with additional programming languages is a plus, e.g. Python
  • Previous experience with SAS is beneficial
  • Able to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines
